Frederick

Our Story

After settling in Frederick with his wife and son, the Segovia Academy’s director, Piotr Pakhomkin, saw the need for a high-level music school in the community. He recalls his own experience as a young music student: “Studying with a great master when I was a teenager didn’t just make me a better classical guitarist. The sensitivity, focus and discipline it required also made me a better citizen.”

By starting this project in Frederick, Piotr aims to provide a strong music education resource to all ages and skill levels ranging from the complete beginner to future professional musician.

“Logic will get you from A to B.  Imagination will take you everywhere.”
